Today Payment Source is pleased to announce they have been recognized by MaRS Momentum as one of the 53 future stars of the Canadian economy.
Recognizing the impact and importance of the technology sector to Canada’s economy, MaRS has created Momentum. This new program is designed to support the executives of high-growth Canadian companies on their way to reaching $100 million in revenue in the next five years. Momentum will bring together a community of c-suite executives, each bringing their own unique viewpoints and experiences, to work together to focus on strengthening the science and technology industries in Canada.
“One of the things that makes Payment Source stand out is that we have grown our business with no outside investment,” says Trevor Cook, CEO of Payment Source. “We have tripled in size over the past three years as the solutions we are providing are timely, innovative and much needed. We're excited to be part of the Momentum program as it will help to further accelerate our growth and impact within Canada.”
Payment Source empowers inclusion by providing Canadians with more opportunities to pay and be paid. As payments modernize and move more digital, Payment Source ensures that all Canadians, no matter their background or financial capacity, are provided with the choice and solutions that allow them to pay for the products or services they need.
“The companies we have selected are being built on Canadian values,” says Krista Jones, Momentum’s founding executive. “They are growing in sustainable, profitable ways, solving urgent issues and creating the kind of good jobs Canada needs.”
Momentum’s ultimate goals include: create a culture of scaling at Canadian companies, foster a peer community of like-minded individuals, engage the c-suite, and act as an advocate in Ontario, Canada and beyond.
