Through Payment Source’s Now Prepay network, TELUS and its brands will be the first major wireless carrier in Canada to move to instant top-ups, revolutionizing the Canadian prepaid space.
Beginning today, Now Prepay locations will have the capability to provide TELUS, Koodo and Public Mobile customers instant top ups directly to their accounts. With this action, TELUS will be adding the convenient functionality that its Public Mobile brand has offered its customers for years. Consumers will no longer have to apply PINs to their accounts, and will be able to top-up funds directly, using just their mobile numbers.
Customers simply visit a Now Prepay retail location and ask to top up their account. The retailer selects ‘Mobile – Telus, Koodo or Public Mobile’ on a Now Prepay terminal or Webstore and enters the customer’s phone number and top-up amount. After they collect the customer’s funds to pay for the transaction, the account is topped up immediately.
